#1

Post by zapc » Thu Apr 03, 2008 5:52 pm

hey people

want to put the correct coil cover on my 64 pan that is now 12v, I am using a later module autoadvance circuit breaker not dual points. what 12v coil can I get to fit under that unique coil cover. doesn't seem that anyone is making the dual point coils in 12v. are they?

thanx

Zapc,
I have a 61 dual point Pan that I converted to 12v. It still has the original dual point distributor but now has dual 12v volt coils from Dyna.
I use one of their brackets to mount the two coils in the original location
but it does not allow the use of the original cover. Thats the only negative
for the setup. I also use a Deca glassmat battery that mounts in the oil tank. Its a much better battery than those little jobs some guys use and
it can be mounted in any position except upside down. Mine is mounted
on end on a small platform I made to bring it up to stock height. I am still
looking for a bracket that will allow me to use the stock coil cover. Maybe
someone reading this has some ideas.

Ride Safe,Denis
