Recheck your timing , are you sure you had the right mark on the flywheel ?Are you getting spark ? Is that the electronic advance system Mallory? The Mallorys need a good ground ,is the ground wire on a good ground ? Are you getting battery voltage to the Mallory ?( should be a 12 volt system & they like the full 12 volts , but I have started mine with 10.4 volts & thats a story in its self . I'm not sure about the set up on the electronic advance Mallory . I do know the mechanical adv. Mallory set up though. Just some stuff for you to think about .

Try reversing the plug wires on the coil to see if it is firing on the wrong cylinder??

Hi guiss.
Yesterday I again for more than 2 hours. I put the timing delayed a few degrees and I began slowly to advance the timing. she puffs, refuses, after she carver
but she is not started.
When I check the timing it never is whear I putted! (TDC mark check with the finger during compression it is a "T" on flywheel S£S). I ever tighten the distributor before tring.

12 V sistem
plug wires checked
ground checked with tester

She drive me crazy!
I do not know what more I do!
I've never had trouble like this. I put on my shovel an meccanic / electronic advance sistem without trouble, I made a lot of time the timing on my pan, I don't andertend!!!!!!!!

Do you have any ather advice?

In any case, Many thanks att all !!!!!!!!!!!!

cici,

do you have the original timer?

just put that back in to get it running again! then figure out the new one later, perhaps it is defective.

Have you checked if you are getting signal to the coil when turning over to start from the ing. module ? Are you getting any spark at the plugs when turning over to start ? Do you have batt. voltage to coil ? Is the coil good ?Check to make sure distributor (circuit breaker ) is not 180 degrees out of time Is there a timing light for timing within the ign. module . A lot of questions because this type of post is hard to diagnose on a PC.

OK guys,
on Saturday she started 8) .
I'm going to try to explane to you in my bad english  :

when I disassembled the old distributor and I remounted the heads I have left the shaft of the valve too hard  . I would not have noticed  .
Do you think is this the reason? :?: :?:
BOH

so I have unscrewed slightly.

She started right away! :P

after a while tests to have unscrewed the screws that hold ing. module.

I have broken down all over again, she does not start more!
She won't starts again! :?

Hear in Itali we say "CHE PALLE" :!: :!: :!:

sorry for my english

So , it sounds to me that you had the valve push rods too tight ( over adj. ), did you follow the correct procedure to adj. them ? Look it up in the knowledge base on this sight to make sure they are adj. right before you try to start her again.
Follow the instructions you got with the Mallory to set up the distributor (circuit breaker ) all over again , it does not seem there is too much to that type of ign. system .
You also need to add to you post what all has been done to this motor to help diagnose the problem(s) . If was just replacing the ign. system is one thing , but a complete upper end job is another .Like ,did you have the cam chest open, check for intake manifold leaks ,etc..

Hi fourthgear, :P
It's kinde of you.
You're right, you have little info  .

however, at last, she's ok!
now she start well!

The trouble are that the instructions are somewhat vague.
anyway I have repeated the procedure. I started with the timing very late and then I slowly advance more until she started!
Now she is slightly delayed (I can hear the sound).

You know a method for check the spark? (a home method) .

Thank you for the support! 8)
This is the best site fer me!
