Part #/Source for coil terminals?

#1

Post by Kuda » Tue May 12, 2009 1:20 pm

I searched the KB, couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm trying to find a source for the 90 degree flag terminals for the primary coil wires. Any clues? I need 'em ASAP as I'm hoping to have the motor back together this weekend. Thanks,

The best guy I found for hardware, terminals etc. is olddude.com
You will need to give him a part number but he knows what you want and usually has it.

You might try www.riwire.com. When you navigate there, click on 'supplies' and then click on ;rings and spades'

any electrical supply house would have them, of course you may have to buy a box of them with a lot more then you'll need, but they'll have them

Bingo! He had 'em and by the unit, not a box of 500 like everyone else. I found a couple places on line that sold the terminals but couldn't tell from the description if they would fit the coil screws as they only listed stuff like "size 3 for 10g-12g." I know what wire gauges I need, but not the ring/flag size. RI had them listed as 1/8", etc., so a non-electriction like me can understand. Good stuff! Got 'em all ordered up and on the way. One step closer to on the road. Thanks again,
