Tappet rollers

Post by George Greer » Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:42 am

Another question about tappet rollers:

Anyone ever take the rollers out of tappets and install rollers without the needle bearings like the WL WLA tappets?

After looking at several threads on the Torrention bearings vs plain bushings for the cam, I was wondering about the tappet too.

I can get NOS WL WLA tappet rollers, and pins and I am asking to see if anyone has done this, and what would be potential issues, if any.

Thanks again for putting up with my at times insane questions.

PS, still on the fence about changing the cam bearing to a bushing.

Sounds good if they fit. I always chang out my rollers every 20,000 miles when I do my heads!--& I have plenty of good rollers laying around  .--I use JIMS-Standard size Axle!---RICHIE 8)
