What is a good replacement for the friction disk 36899-41? On my 49fl it seems to have disintegrated. We use to use what was called by the brand name Garlock gasket material confiscated from one of the industrial construction jobs we use to work.
Thanks, James

Re: Foot clutch
Thanks guys. I was thinking about cutting my own and was wondering what material would work as a substitute. Maybe a Teflon type material?

Re: Foot clutch
I don't even use one on my '49EL. I have a dab of anti seize on the contact surfaces, tighten the nut with blue loctite after I set how loose or tight I want pedal to operate. Put spring back on has worked perfectly for years this way without the friction disc installed.
