Pump

Post by Dutchpanhead »

Does anyone know if HD made a airpump driven by a valve which is screwed in one of the sparkplug holes? Maybe it is a millitary item used in the field.

I've seen them for automobiles, I always wondered why it wouldn't cause your tires to be explosive.

They are a common period item. H-D offered them in some of the accessory catalogs and many aftermarket companies sold them, (H-D never built them). I used to carry one under the seat of my old truck. They work but are slow, and contrary to popular belief they do not fill your tires with gas....

If, and only IF you can get a Harley V-Twin to start and run on only one cylinder. Don'r neglect to ground out the unused spark plug cable....

Mine did. Rode home on one cylinder after a piston failed.

Then the rebuild began!
