How many turns to fully open your fuel shutoff?

The title says it all-how many turns does your fuel shutoff take to go from closed, to the point where you can pull it up for reserve?

Mine is 4-3/4 turns. I have seen others that are around 2 turns....

The threaded sleeve on the fuel rod isn't always in the same place. They are all 50 years old or aftermarket. I'm very happy if I can make them work at all.

Hi Larry, yeah, that's what I am seeing, too.

Also the tips are not the same length, and some are brazed on with a wide section of braze between the end of the rod and the tip, so there are a lot of variables.

That's why I was interested in how many turns other working setups have.

How man

Geez, I figured at least a few of you guys would count the turns for me.

Or are you all old and forgetful, like me? :D

The shutdown off rod im working on now is 2 full turns. Pretty sure its original. But as has been said. It depends on where the thread is soldered to the rod.
