Hey everyone!
I am rebuilding another Tillotson H2D2 as a spare. The main jet size I found in this carb is .059
The 69 service manual states the standard sizes for Electra-Glides are .049, .051, .053; while .055, .057 are standard for Sporsters, and then there are larger jets .059, .061, .063.
I'm guessing the .059 I have will not work well on my relatively stock 1200 FLH. (its at .030 over bore) with dual turn out mufflers and FLH cam.
Does anyone have any experience with the standard sizes?

Too much Star wars (R2D2)..
My experience has been that the best of all is the factory adjustable high speed kit, it gives you a huge range of adjustment on a Tillotson. What is your elevation?

I’m about 833 ft above sea level.
I’ve not seen a Harley part number for an adjustable high speed jet on the HD2D; either must be a Sportster part, or a Tillotson number for a different OEM application?

Re: Tillotson H2D2 main jet size.
The adjustable main jet was a racing part, # 27295-66R. It is still available. If your engine isn't modified (cams, porting, etc) the stock jet for your model will likely be just fine. It has been years since I ran a Tillotson, but I liked them on my strokers because you could tune them well without flat spots. I used to modify them for more fuel flow. I'll see if i have any notations in my books.

Thanks Robbie.
I found pictures of the adjustable needle setup. As you said, for my needs the stock .053 jet should be fine, so that's what I've located and purchased. (and a lot less expensive
