Before you go to the trouble of doing a manifold leak test, grab a screwdriver and tighten the three screws that hold the carburetor to the inlet manifold.

Do you have a carburetor support bracket (Part # 1110-39) fitted? If you don't have one, the weight of the carburetor puts strain on the screws and on the nipples that hold the inlet to the heads. That can loosen things and cause a manifold leak.

While you are diving in there, give the inlet packing nuts a twist.
