1948 Pan Oil Pump Rotor

#1

Was looking at oil pump and noticed I had been running a later cover. Found the correct cast iron style with governor and had a question. Should this be run with the rotor or should it be modded to use without? I would need the rotor, if using it or would need the correct spacer without rotor. If anyone knows where the spacer or rotor could be found, I'd appreciate it.

The rotor was discontinued in late '48 due to poor oil pressure to the new hydraulic pushrods introduced that year. There was a shop dope showing how to modify early pumps, and then later on a kit from the factory with the new plate to eliminate it.

I imagine a extensive google search will render the info you need.
