Handlebar

#1

Post by Scrap »

The right hand collar is missing. I don't see this in the parts book. Is it available? If so, how is it retained?
Also, try as I might, I can't pull out the timer cable. I can't really get a purchase on what's left of the throttle cable that the OP cut off. Is this a common issue?
Thank's,
Sam

The collars are silver soldered on. If it was removed it was likely to run an "English style" outside cable throttle. Is the set screw removed on the timer side? It would be underneath the bar and covered by the switch, a straight slot screw.

Robbie, there it is. That'll take care of the cables. Yes, there was a Barnett throttle on the bars when I got the bike. Any idea where I might get a collar?
Thanks

I made a collar on my mini lathe out of a Stainless steel nut for that very same reason. Easy to do.
