1958'Panhead Throttle,Control Cable bracket

Post by roman »

On earlier pans I see brackets for the throttle cable like the attached picture. I do not see anything similar for 1958 in the part book other than the round clip for the lower frame member (under the tank). Is that all there is to secure the cable or am I missing something ? Thanks

Clip to the frame tab is all you need.

Don't believe that is for a 58.

Mine just attaches to the frame tab, the photo shows the location on my 58 frame.

Thanks, looks like I'm missing that frame tab on an otherwise unmolested 58 frame. Gonna have to find an alternative way to brace/hold that cable

If frame bracket is missing you can use the early bracket.

Or use a Knuckle/UL/45 handlebar clamp cable bracket in the location of the missing one.
