Repair of Linkert M51

Is it advisable to repair the ‘eyebrow’ with soft solder or do I need to silver solder. I know that boring oversize would be preferable but I am not aware of anyone who does that in the UK.
Thanks
Ron

My question is whether the solder will be up to the job. Theoretically with use of the spring on throttle shaft there shouldn’t be any contact with the disc.
Thanks. Ron

Brass can be tig or mig welded for a stronger bond.
Silver solder bond is weaker, if it fails the solder goes through engine.
