The picture is in the previous owner's garage (I do not use fold-up tables as work benches).
This is what I started with...'43 WLC...5-6yrs ago.
I have most of the pieces now (...gave up on some oem pieces and used repop) and will be starting the individual rebuild of parts, wheels, springer, etc..then the goal is to mock it up

Interesting re-use of the teardrop tool box as an air cleaner cover

.
...lets just say the previous owner had noooo clue what he was doing.
..he staged the pic to make it as complete as possible but, obviously did not know what goes where.
..look where the ride control sliders are, the air cleaner in position of the battery... !!!
I remember having to really hold back the constant need to burst out in laughter while I was there looking it over.

I am new to the site and this is the first post I stumbled upon. I am currently working on a 1961 Servi-Car (Police). Looking forward to hearing some advice on restoration and parts acquisition from some of the members.

Nice project. Servi-Cars have their own interesting nuances. Welcome to the forum and when you can go to the new members section and do an intro. You will get a lot more response from folks.

here is a chance to start a really good project: build a civilian 1945 WL (NOT a WLA) very rare all the pieces are on ebay right now, bid till it hurts!
